Bassvictim Portland Concert reviews
Let Down at DTE
The concert overall was mediocre at best. The opening acts, 10 Years and 7 Dust, were decent, playing a few popular songs, but the bass was overpowering. Puddle of Mudd, the third band, had the best sound and engaged the audience well, but their set was too short. Chevelle, who should have played third, was terrible and should not have had such a long performance. Their constant screaming made it impossible to understand them. Thank goodness for ear plugs! The headliner, Bassvictim, was a major disappointment. While they started strong with a popular hit, the rest of their set was subpar and unrecognizable. The lead singer was talented, and the band was skilled, but that was the extent of their performance. It was a letdown to have high expectations only to be met with obscure songs and unnecessary storytelling. A successful concert should leave the audience wanting more, not wanting to leave. To improve, they should feature more established bands and focus on playing their well-known hits.
